Covid-19 Update 22/5/20
As the lockdown starts to near it slow return to what will become our 'New Normal' we would like to update you with regards to where the Buchanan Clinic currently stands.
Over the last weeks our Orthotists have been working with the NHS to help with the national response to the pandemic this has included redeployment to other departments to helping provide orthotic cover to patients in hospital to ensure a quick discharge home.
As the crisis progresses it is becoming apparent that we will not be able to run clinics as we previously have done and new safeguards will have to be put in place. This is not something we wish to rush into as everyone's safety has to be considered and prioritised. The last thing we want to do is endanger our clients or staff by opening too early.
We have undertaken limited video appointments where it was felt appropriate which is a service we hope to continue into the future however this has been limited due to our clinicians NHS commitments at this time.
Plans however are in place and we will start seeing people face to face when we feel the time is right.
Our Helen street factory has remained open throughout the crisis providing urgent orthotic products to the NHS. We have done this in a safe manner with minimal staff on site who are practicing social distancing.
We still have staff onsite to answer the phones for any questions you may have and we can still be reached by Email.
